Music
From Renaissance and Baroque to Classical, Romantic, jazz and musical theater, music has always been my passion. After studying music, biology, and political science in Guatemala, a scholarship to attend the renowned Oberlin Baroque Performance Institute opened a whole new chapter in my life, giving me the opportunity to travel to Germany to pursue a career in the interpretation of Early Music. Since living in Berlin, I have acquired a Certificate of Performance postgraduate diploma in Baroque singing from the Universität der Künste.
Singing as a soloist or as part of a small ensembles, I have performed in musical festivals such as the International Festival for Early Music in Peru, the International Festival of Renaissance and Baroque Latin-American Music in the Chiquitos Missions in Bolivia, the Stuttgart Bachwochen, the Händel-Festspiele in Halle, the Bachfest Schaffhausen, as well as in the Berliner Philharmonie. I have sung with acclaimed local Berlin groups such as Lautten Compagney Berlin, Titans Rising and Musica Sequenza. I am currently collaborating with the acclaimed band, Corvus Corax, that combines historical neo-Medieval music with modern fantasy elements.
